We are very fortunate to be living at a time when there is a large grassroots health movement. To be clear, I don’t mean health in the current easy-fix paradigm of the healthcare and fitness industries, but rather a re-discovery of the traditions that constitute our roots, and a critical re-assessment of modern practices. Call it what you will, paleo, ancestral health, primal, holistic – all of these groups are moving and growing in the same direction. And that is so heartening. This fact fills me with renewed hope and purpose. Alone I can make a myriad of personal changes, and they would of course be of benefit, however, it is only when we work together as a community that true change can occur.
This is our invitation to each and every one of you to become a part of our tribe. In return, we ask for you to keep open minds and open hearts. In a community, each individual has a role. We all have something to teach and share with each other. We are here to learn, and we hope that you are too.
Are we promoting a revolution? No. As the founder of MovNat, Erwan LeCorre so wisely put – think more along the lines of re-evolution. We’re talking: self discovery, growth, wisdom, tradition melded with new research.
It is time to go back to our roots and ask why, what, and how? Why did my ancestors make a strange fermented drink with tea? What has changed in the food supply over the years? How were the animals raised traditionally? These questions continue on and on.
The answers lie somewhere in between the modern day and the response your great-great-great grandparents would have provided you.
SFK is our way of bridging the gap between research and tradition, and sharing, so as to make this information more accessible to others. Welcome to our tribe!
